Integrated complex of social and health structures, nursing homes and services

The complex of combined functions known as “Urban Pole”, is an element of transition and linkage that relates the vast area of the P.E.E.P. “Le Fornaci” to the city and its suburbs, carried out through a strong urban development sign of territorial continuity. The complex includes a “citadel”, a sort of urban “enclosure” which recalls the historical matrix of the convent structure on which it is based. The various buildings morphologicalyl recomposed in function of a pivotal public space, a proper urban “piazza”, that is also the centre of the architectural structure.
