New Auditorium for the city of Isernia

“Square, architecture, landscape”: a relationship in which the entire city is reflected, finding in it its poetic valve, blending cultural services for its inhabitants and spaces for the social interaction of the new generations. The planivolumetric configuration adopted is in ‘scale’ with the urban and landscape dimensions, and it is based on the role taken on by the large square that expands until the section with the large and slightly inclined covering, partially fitted with steps, with the highest point on a platform overlooking the archaeological area in the pine forest below and the Paleolithic Museum. Not a “building”, therefore, but rather an urban “place”. Not an “architectural object”, but an integrated system in which exterior spaces prevail.
